With the recent changes to the Marriage Act 1961  legislating same sex couples the right to be treated equally Commitment ceremonies may now be wedding ceremonies - start planning :-)

A commitment ceremony is also an option for any couple who wishes to publicly affirm their love as they share and celebrate their union with friends and family just as you would a marriage.  Unlike a marriage ceremony there are no legal requirements or documents to be lodged with any government department.
